Marge vs. The Monorail

Mr Burns is fined $3 million and, in their wisdom, the people of Springfield decide to spend the money on a monorail system. The episode features many incredible lines and moments. Is there a chance the track could bend?

Amy W told me that this is her favourite episode. It's not hard to understand why. This was Springfield and its citizens at its chaotic best.

Last Exit To Springfield

So many iconic lines and moments in this episode. It is generally ranked as being one of the best of all time and is on several Top 10 lists. The BBC stated it is "frequently cited as the show's best-ever episode."

Jamie P told me that this is the episode that he adores the most. Like the other episodes listed here, there are many fantastic one-liners here. "Dental plan, Lisa needs braces!"

Homer At The Bat

An episode with one of the greatest songs from any Simpsons episode. I'm not going to say anything else to describe what happened. The song sums it up well.

"Well, Mr. Burns had done it, The Power Plant had won it, With Roger Clemens clucking all the while, Mike Scioscia's tragic illness made us smile, While Wade Boggs lay unconscious on the bar-room tile..."

You Only Move Twice

Homer moves the family after he’s offered a new job at a company, run by the not-so-secret super-villain Hank Scorpio. Many people on Twitter and other social media outlets have argued that this is the best-ever episode. It's a pity we've not heard much of Hank Scorpio since. It was reported that he was due to feature in The Simpsons Movie but the part was scrapped.

Homer's Barbershop Quartet

One of many flashback episodes. Homer Simpson recounts the story about this time in a barbershop quartet. The episode makes several references to the Beatles. Their first album, Meet the Be Sharps, is a clear parody of the Meet the Beatles!

Bart's Comet

Bart accidentally discovers a comet while having a detention with Principal Skinner. Initially, he's thrilled, but the mood shifts when scientists realise the comet is on a collision course with Springfield. This is also an episode where Homer Simpson makes an accurate Scientific prediction.
