Festival organisers released the bill on Monday, confirming that Carpenter and Karol G will close out the Friday and Sunday shows, while Bieber is set to headline on both Saturdays. Anyma will also present a special world premiere, Æden.

While the headliners have drawn plenty of attention, fans on social media have been buzzing about a more unexpected inclusion. At the very bottom of the poster appears a reference to Radiohead, billed as the “bunker debut of Radiohead Kid A Mnesia”. This is not a live performance but seemingly the arrival of the band’s acclaimed Kid A Mnesia art installation in the Californian desert.

One fan wrote: “My interest in Coachella is 0.0 but will go all the way to 100 if the @radiohead thing at the bottom of this is a thing.” Another added: “I just need to know what that Radiohead thing at the bottom means. @coachella TELL ME PLEASEEEEEEE.”

A similar level of intrigue has been sparked by the inclusion of The Strokes, whose appearance comes after the band announced a handful of 2025 shows at Austin City Limits and a couple of warm-up dates. They have not released new material since their 2020 album The New Abnormal.

“AHHHH the Strokes at Coachella, does this mean they’re making a comeback?” one fan posted in response.

Interpol’s slot has also been warmly received, coming on the heels of their Antics 20th anniversary tour.

More surprise announcements

Another act sparking talk of a full-scale return is The xx. The trio have not officially recorded together since featuring on Jamie XX’s 2024 single Waited All Night, taken from his album In Waves. However, they reunited on stage at this year’s LIDO Festival in London and are currently working on their long-anticipated fourth album.

Nine Inch Nails will also bring their Peel It Back tour to Coachella, extending their collaboration with Boys Noize. The partnership has added an intense, underground rave edge to the band’s signature sound.

The previous edition of the festival

Coachella 2025 featured headline sets from Lady Gaga, Green Day and Post Malone, with a wide-ranging line-up that included Charli XCX, Travis Scott, Kneecap, Tyla, Megan Thee Stallion, Sam Fender, Ed Sheeran, Beth Gibbons, Misfits, Benson Boone, Japanese Breakfast and The Prodigy. The festival also saw solo performances from BLACKPINK’s Jennie and Lisa, alongside many others.
