Are you excited for this console?

In a short but exciting trailer, Nintendo unveiled its next-generation console, teasing a 2025 release window. However, details such as pricing and specifications remain under wraps.
The new console appears to be a fresh evolution of Nintendo’s original hybrid design. It retains the familiar features, including detachable Joy-Con controllers and the flexibility to play in handheld mode, as a standalone screen with detached Joy-Cons or external controllers, or in docked mode using a redesigned dock for connection to a TV or external display.
It is believed the console won't be as powerful as the PS5 or Xbox Series X, but will have more RAM than the Xbox Series S, which makes it more comparable to the Steam Deck. We probably won't receive any official information about the specifications until the console is examined by experts.
Will the console launch with a new Mario Kart game?
After over a decade of anticipation (and likely a few friendship-ending races), it seems Nintendo is finally gearing up to release Mario Kart 9.
For us, nothing comes close to the chaotic joy of this wacky racing game. Whether it’s mastering a turbo drift or landing that perfectly timed banana peel, Mario Kart is the ultimate blend of skill, sabotage, and sheer luck. We’re buzzing to see what the next instalment has in store, especially with improved graphics that are set to harness the full power of Nintendo’s new console.
What are your thoughts?
Liam C said: "I always love the launch of a Nintendo console. You never quite know what is going to be released which makes it a lot more exciting than new Xbox and PlayStation devices."
This was a view supported by Sophie T, who added: "I am just really excited for a new Mario Kart."
