The 32-year-old Mali international joined the Toffees from Watford for £20 million in September 2020 and has made 165 appearances for the club, scoring 21 goals.

Among his most significant contributions was the decisive strike in Everton’s 1-0 win over Bournemouth on the final day of the 2022–23 season, a goal that secured the club’s Premier League survival.
Doucouré is one of several senior players departing Merseyside at the end of the campaign. Ashley Young, Asmir Begovic and Joao Virginia are also set to leave, while the futures of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Idrissa Gueye, Michael Keane and Seamus Coleman remain uncertain, with all out of contract this summer.

The midfielder appeared emotional as he was substituted during Sunday’s 2-0 win against Southampton, Everton’s final home game at Goodison Park before their move to the new Hill Dickinson Stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock. Sean Dyche’s side will round off the season with a trip to Newcastle this weekend.
In a heartwarming social media post, the player shared his memories of the club.
During part of the video, he says: "Everton means a lot for me. Obviously the past five years it's been hard but I will always remember my time as a dream for me, to play for Everton Football Club."
