Played out in persistent rain and swirling winds on a chilly June afternoon, the match was a bruising contest short on attacking flair but rich in intensity.
Warrington failed to build on their lead, and were punished late on when Davies struck with just three minutes remaining to bring an end to Hull KR’s 44-year wait for silverware.
KR finally win a trophy

Losing Challenge Cup finalists in 2023. Losing Super League Grand Finalists in 2024. Hull KR fans might have been forgiven for thinking that they were cursed and they might never see their side lift a trophy.
The Robins have constantly been improving and looked supremely impressive for a number of seasons. In 2025, they have looked unstoppable.
They currently top the Super League table and have lost just once in all competitions this season. This sole defeat came against Wigan who are the side most likely to challenge them for this season's league Super League title.
