Eddie Howe’s men, already holding a 2-0 lead from the first leg of the semi-final, got the job done and will now face either Liverpool or Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley. They are just one win away from breaking a barren run that stretches back to their 1969 triumph in the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup.

The Magpies made a blistering start, with Alexander Isak seeing a goal ruled out for offside before Jacob Murphy capitalised on a rebound in the 19th minute, after the Swede’s effort struck the post.

That goal arrived just moments after Martin Ødegaard squandered Arsenal’s best chance to turn the tie around, clipping the outside of the post when he only had Martin Dúbravka to beat.

With the Toon Army in full voice, roaring their team on in a deafening St James’ Park, Newcastle delivered the killer blow early in the second half after a disastrous moment from Arsenal keeper David Raya.

Attempting to pick out Declan Rice, Raya’s pass was pounced on by Fabian Schär, who nicked possession and set up Anthony Gordon for a simple finish—sealing Newcastle’s return to Wembley.

Now, the Geordie faithful will be hoping their side can make amends for their EFL Cup final heartbreak against Manchester United two years ago and finally end their long wait for a domestic trophy, with their last coming in the 1955 FA Cup.

Eddie Howe's team delivered an outstanding performance

One Newcastle fan told us: "Our team delivered an outstanding performance. Their tactical execution was excellent, and they showcased remarkable street smarts. The front three players were exceptional, but it was truly a complete team effort. The support from the fans was brilliant, creating an incredible atmosphere!"

"This victory was well-deserved, culminating in an impressive aggregate win against Arsenal. Let's draw on the experience from two years ago and aim for victory this time. There's no reason it can't be achieved."
