They will be joined by Brit Award winner Charli XCX, who will headline the festival's second stage on Saturday, June 28th.

There will also be debut performances at Glastonbury by Alanis Morissette, Noah Kahan, Gracie Abrams, Lola Young, and the US rap artist Doechii, who will headline the West Holts stage. Returning favorites include Wolf Alice, Wet Leg, Fatboy Slim, Loyle Carner, and the Scissor Sisters.

Rock legend Neil Young has already been announced as the headliner for Saturday night, while Rod Stewart will take the Sunday afternoon "legend slot."

The 1975 headline Glastonbury for the first time

The 1975 have travelled further than most to get to the top of indie-pop pile. There was almost ten years of underground gigs, mixtapes and cover songs saw them finally burst into the mainstream.

Their self-titled debut (recorded with the production team behind Foals and Arctic Monkeys) then went straight to No.1 last October following a summer of festivals, including a slot on the Other Stage at Glastonbury. Their chart-friendly synth pop hits have amassed a passionate following and it’s no surprise to see them back at Worthy Farm... on an even bigger stage.

Who else is going to be performing?

Ezra Collective, Jorja Smith, The Libertines, The Maccabees, Franz Ferdinand, Kae Tempest, Beabadoobee, Kneecap and The Prodigy have also been recently announced.

Pop star Raye will also play just before Neil Young on the Saturday night. This followed her breakthrough set at lunchtime on the Pyramid Stage just two years ago.

More acts will be revealed before the festival opens its gates on 25th June. Who else would you like to see perform?

The Prodigy return

The Prodigy will close the festival's Other Stage with a show. This will be their first at the festival since the sad passing of legendary frontman, Keith Flint back in 2019.

Keith Flint started as a dancer for the group and later became the vocalist. He performed on the group's two UK number-one singles, "Firestarter" and "Breathe," both released in 1996.

What do you think of the line-up?

The announcement of Glastonbury Festival's 2025 line-up has resulted in a variety of reactions from fans and commentators alike. Some festival-goers have expressed disappointment, labelling this year's line-up as the "worst one ever" and voicing dissatisfaction over the choice of headliners. Another fan commented though: "Even if you don't like the main acts, there's still so much going on which is all amazing."

However, other fans have welcomed the diversity of the line-up, particularly praising The 1975's inclusion as headliners. Supporters have noted the band's significant impact over the past decade

The inclusion of many acts of Irish origin (The Script, CMAT, Inhaler, Kneecap and Snow Patrol) has been met with enthusiasm from Irish fans, who have expressed their excitement on social media platforms
